Delete your account

You can delete your OULY City account and personal data at any time – directly in the app, or by emailing us. This page explains how, what gets removed, and what we keep as an anonymous civic record.

1. Delete it here on the web (fastest)

Open your profile, scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account. You will see exactly what goes and what stays before you confirm.

2. Delete it in the app

If you can sign in, this is immediate:

  • Open OULY City and go to the Profile tab.
  • Open Account and tap Delete account.
  • Confirm. Your account is deleted right away and we sign you out.

3. Can’t access the app?

Email us from the address on your account at info@ouly.city with the subject “Delete my account”.

We’ll verify it’s you and remove your data within 30 days (usually much sooner).

4. What gets deleted

We permanently remove:

  • Your profile – email, name, password, and the connections to Google or Apple sign-in.
  • Your sessions and devices – we sign you out everywhere.
  • Your pulses.
  • Draft visions – with their photos, voice recordings and AI attempts. Removed from storage too, not only from the database.
  • Your voice recordings and their transcripts – always, published visions included. A voice can identify you, so neither the recording in storage nor the transcript in the database stays behind. The text of the vision stays, so the city loses no content.

5. What we keep – anonymised

The visions you submitted stay on the city map as an anonymous civic record of what a place looked like and what it could become – but we cut the link to you: your name is removed and the vision is no longer tied to your identity. This keeps the city’s shared history intact without keeping your personal data.

That includes the photo and the AI image of a published vision: they stay at their public address. A vision makes no sense without them – it is a record of a place the city builds decisions on. The voice recording is not one of them: that one is always deleted. We say so here and in the app, so you know before you delete, not after.

6. Want a copy first?

Before you delete, you can export your data – in the app (Profile → Account) and here on the web from your profile – your profile, visions, and pulses in a portable format.
